Thanks, Diapershops, for my new friend! :)

So, becoming a Stay at Home Mom was the best decision I made for our family.  I love being home with Collin and everything else that entails.  But, being a SAHM also makes it a bit difficult to make friends.  I have a few SAHM friends but they live so far away...we couldn't even visit for a day trip.  My best friend had to go back to work so I don't get to see her much (but I do get to enjoy her kiddos a few times a week..so fun!) Anyways, I'm left to wander Twitter or Facebook during nap times and engage in some fluffy chat with anonymous cd mamas.

Well, one day, I responded to a post on Diapershops' facebook page about AP-attached parenting.  They were asking if there were groups where you lived.  I responded with "Lol..no" because I live in a wee little town where you can't even give birth at the local hospital...you have to go out of town.  So, there are no cloth diapering, breastfeeding, or Attached Parenting groups in the area.  Well, later that evening I got an email from a girl who said she lived in a town 20 minutes away from mine!! We conversed via Facebook messaging for awhile.  I sold her some of my Cotton Babies prefolds and Hemp Babies Little Weeds.  Well, she needed to pick them up and we decided we'd get together and show off our stashes!

Now, you might be thinking, "you don't know this girl AT ALL and you invited her to your house?!"  I know that in this day and age, you can't be too careful but you can learn a lot about someone by stalking their Facebook page :)  But, just in case, my hubby and I came up with a code--if she ended up being crazy, I would call him and tell him he needed to bring home the eggs! LOL!

Well, of course, she was delightful! We had so much in common--beside Fluff! In fact, we talked about how we think that cloth diapering moms will naturally have more in common with other.  At least, that was the case for us! So, we had a great time! Our boys are about a year and a half apart, so my little guy mostly watched her little guy run around and play with the toys (and fall and split his lip open...eek! Sorry, again, about that!).  And to ensure that we'd meet up again, her little boy was sure to leave his sippy cup behind :)

So thanks, Diapershops, it's nice to have a new SAHM friend :)  The only bad thing is...after seeing her stash...I now am DYING to try an AppleCheeks diaper... <3 it!

Aww this is so sweet! We had such a great time, I think Oliver totally planned leaving his sippy behind to ensure to get to come back and play. :) I feel very blessed by our new friendship!

I'm jealous too, I live in a tiny town and most people look at me weird for cloth diapering. :(
