Kid Basix Safe Sippy 2 Review sponsored by All Things Diapers

Awhile ago, I received the Kid Basix Safe Sippy 2: 2 in 1 Sippy or Straw Cup to review from All Things Diapers.  Sippy and straw cups are always a need here in the Biehl House!  So I was super excited to let Collin try this out!

So, let me jump right in and tell you why we love this cup!

#1:  It is made of non-leaching stainless steel and BPA-free plastic! This is a must in our house.  Collin's safety comes first.

#2:  The straw shaped spout is fabulous! Recent research has found that wide drinking spouts, typical of many sippy cups, can cause physical and speech development problems.  That fear is eliminated with this cup thanks to the straw shaped spout!

#3:  SUPER easy to put together.  It comes with 2 different valves:  1 to make it a sippy cup and 1 to make it a straw cup.  With the sippy cup option, the valve is NO Leak!

#4:  It comes with an extra valve you can use while you travel to prevent leaking! You insert it into the cup where you would put the other valves and it plugs it right up! I have to tell you though, I would just put it over the top of the straw opening and it worked the same (the lazy man's way).

#5:  PERFECT size for little hands.  It comes with handles and Collin just holds it perfectly.  We use it as a straw cup and the handles make it great for holding.

Overall, we really loved this sippy/straw cup.  We only use it as a straw cup as that is what Collin prefers, but it is so easy to change it to whichever you want.  And for $12.95, it's a good buy!

And on a side note, be sure to check out All Things Diapers to see the other great products they carry! They've got cloth diapers, accessories, laundry products, baby wearing products and, of course, baby bottles and cups!!

Wordy Wednesday: A Family United

On Monday, I got to share in a moment that was truly awesome, amazing, inspiring, overwhelming...priceless.  I would not have missed it for the world.  If you don't know, my brother and sister-in-law's son from the Congo is finally home! He is almost 8 months old and he is beautiful, snuggly, happy...perfect.

I will never forget the sight of my brother and sister-in-law wrapping their arms around Amaziah, covering him with kisses and tears.  And what did he do?  He snuggled right in.  He wrapped his arms around my sister-in-law, laid his head on her chest and cuddled.  Truly Amazing.

Of course, I was a sobbing mess.  It was such a beautiful sight.  My brother and sister-in-law have waited to have a baby for so long...and now God has blessed them with this loving, beautiful, amazing little boy.  I don't think anyone expected the bonding to be so instantaneous.  Before Amaziah was carried down the corridor, my brother had told his wife "now, remember, he might be screaming, crying, but that's ok..."  Well, that wasn't the case at all! He was so loving! And when my sister-in-law's dad started talking to Amaziah, he just started grinning!! And then he was just all smiles!

The joy that filled that airport terminal was indescribable.  They have their baby...their son is finally home!!!

Praise God.

Congratulations to Jason, Kendra, and Amaziah.  Our family is forever blessed.

itti bitti: Bitti Tutto and Bitti D'lish Review and Giveaway!!

I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to test two FABULOUS diapers from itti bitti . If you don't already know, itti bitti is a company that has gained international popularity. And now, they are bringing their uniquely designed products to the United States!

I was given the opportunity to test their bitti d'lish and their bitti tutto.  So, let's jump right in!

The Bitti D'lish Snap In One:

This is a sized diaper made up of the shell and the inserts that you simply snap into the diaper.  The inserts offer your little one 8 layers of  bamboo for absorbency.  And if you aren't too familiar with bamboo, let me assure you that it is a very thirsty material! It is wonderful for heavy wetters.  Although it is super absorbent, it is also super trim!! That's not always an easy combination to find.  The outer shell of the diaper is incredibly soft! The minkee fabric is so cuddly--you don't want to cover this diaper up!

We received the size large for Collin who is 27 pounds at 15 months old.  It fits him wonderfully! No red marks left behind on his chunky legs or  back.

We loved how easy the inserts are to snap in.  Not only does itti bitti label their inserts according to their diapers (all our inserts for the bitti d'lish said "bitti d'lish") but they are also COLOR CODED.  This saves a ridiculous amount of time when I am doing diaper laundry.  I'm not looking around trying to figure out which inserts go where.  I know that my itti bitti inserts are all labeled and color coded for easy use!

Overall, we had nothing bad to say about the bitti d'lish.  I think it is a fabulous design that is easy to use, absorbent, trim, and cute!

This diaper is a one-size-fits-most diaper.  Like the bitti d'lish, it also has a soft, minky outer layer and snap-in bamboo inserts.  But the Bitti Tutto has a bit more to offer.  In fact, one of the best features (in my opinion) is their patented "poo fence."  They've created a soft inner lining made to hold in the messiest of messes!
Like the bitti d'lish, all the inserts are COLOR CODED and LABELED!!  You might think I'm crazy that I find this so exciting, but so many inserts do NOT come labeled.  And I just think it's fabulous that itti bitti has even gone as far as to color code their inserts.

This is especially helpful with the bitti tutto because you have SO many options to customize the absorbency for your little one.  We actually used all 3 soaker pads (and knew how to put them all in the diaper according to the colored snaps) and made it 12+ hours with NO LEAKS.  GLORIOUS! I love when I have a diaper that I can use for both DAY and NIGHT!

The bitti tutto, like the bitti d'lish, is trim and ultra-absorbent.

Another feature the bitti tutto has that I love is the hip snap cover.  Collin is a bigger guy, so sometimes the extra snaps aren't needed when we use the diaper.  With other diapers, the snap rubs against his skin, but that is NOT the case for the bitti tutto thanks to the cover over the snap!!!

Overall:

We were extremely impressed by these diapers.  If I had to pick my favorite, I would go with the Bitti Tutto --the poo fence, the insert options, the night time use make it our first choice! But the bitti d'lish would be the 2nd diaper we grab in our stash!!

And now, one of you gets the chance to win your own itti bitti d'lish AND itti bitti tutto!!! That's right, 2 diapers!!

Blissful Booty Cloth Diapers Review

Recently, I was sent some goodies from Blissful Booty Cloth Diapers! I received a size Large AIO diaper, 2 doublers, cloth wipes, wipe water concentrate, and a pail liner...yes, I am in fluffy heaven!  We love every single thing we received! Let me break it down for each item!

The Diaper ($17.99):

We love this diaper because it is an AIO (All-in-One) that line dries (rack dries) SUPER fast.  I put all my diaper covers on a laundry rack to dry and this AIO dries almost as quick as the regular covers.  I couldn't believe it.  I have yet to have AIO that dries that fast! Usually it takes a couple days with others.  NOT the case with this one!

Also, the fit is fantastic! Collin has TONS of room to grow!

It is sooo soft!! You just want to rub it on your face..and you will..Yeah, I see you laughing..but just you wait...it feels like a blanket!

The laundry tabs work and the velcro is sturdy!

And one of my favorite features is the inner gussets!! LOVE this! It really holds in the worst of worst!

Lastly, with the way it is designed, there's no gap in the front or back of the diaper! HOORAY for tummy sleepers!!

The Boosters (5 pk for $12.99):

We added both of the boosters to the diaper for night time and guess what? NO LEAKS! None! Not even close! I dare say we could have just used 1 booster and made it through the night.  Either way, I'm impressed.  And I love that you can just lay the booster in the diaper..no pockets to stuff!!

The Cloth Wipes (10 pk for $12.99):

So soft. So sturdy.  So delightful! I have 2 brands of cloth wipes that I absolutely love...and this is one of them!!  If I didn't already have so many crappy wipes that I spent money on, I would buy more of these!!

The Wipe Water Concentrate ($25.00):

Now, I've never used anything but water on cloth wipes before.  But my, oh, my! This stuff smells soo good and leaves Collin's bum so soft! I keep a little basket in the living room with diaper supplies for the day.  Well, now the wipe water solution is always in the basket, ready to use! I just spritz some on the wipe and get to work! Here's a little more info about their wipe water solution:

"It is sulfate, paraban and preservative free! Wipe Water Concentrate is made with soothing organic aloe, chamomile, lavender and vitamin e so it is always gentle to your baby's skin. Jojoba and rosehip oil add to the soothing qualities of our concentrate and tea tree oil adds natural antimicrobial properties.  Our solution is super concentrated and super economical because it makes 24 twelve ounce bottles of solution from just 1 four oz bottle of concentrate!"

It was so nice not having to try and find my own bottle.  I have not had any issues whatsoever with this bottle.  No clogging or anything.  Works great!

First off, I could not believe how HUGE this liner was...Seriously...

Secondly, I put it to the ultimate test.  When I put my diapers in the pail, I have one pail for the inserts and one for the covers.  I do this because otherwise, my cans would fill up quicker than I do laundry.  Anyways, I used the Blissful Booty pail liner with the inserts.  That means, it got the inserts that I sprayed off (and didn't wring out!).  I wanted to see if it would leak...well, it didn't!! Now, it was starting to feel a little damp on the outside at the 4 day mark...but not wetness..it was mostly just cool to the touch.  No dripping water on the floor, no pail filled with dirty diaper water left behind (yes, I've had that happen with other liners).   I was impressed.

**

Blissful Booty Cloth Diapers gets an A+ from us.  Not to mention, I'll be bookmarking their site when it comes time to buy newborn diapers!

I just think that $17.99 is an awesome price for a diaper that you can use during the day AND at night.

And $12.99 for a pail liner??? Unheard of!

They offer so many great products.  I encourage you to check them all out! You won't be disappointed!
