Thanks Mama is one of the first cloth diaper stores I made a purchase from over 2 years ago!! Not only will you find cloth menstrual pads but she carries EVERYTHING you need to cloth diaper your little one. But she is more than cloth diapers! She carriers strollers, carriers, items for mom, baby and toddler, mom-to-be and so much more!
At Thanks Mama you will find excellent customer service to go along with all the great products! You get free shipping on orders over $60 and you can earn rewards dollars with every purchase.
She also has a couple coupon codes out right now:
$5 off $50 with coupon code "5off"
15% off baby carriers with code "Carrier"
So, I received a 3-pack of normal Imse Vimse Organic Cotton sanitary pads. Here are my thoughts:
- The first thing I noticed about these was the simplicity of them. They are off-white with pink stitching. They have a job to do and don't need any frills to get the job done.
- The second thing I noticed was the price. For $17.75, you get 3 regular sized pads. That breaks down to a little less than $6 a pad -- WOW!!
- Thirdly, the design is great. You have wings that snap closed. There is a hidden layer of polyurethane laminated polyester between the organic cotton. So, you have organic cotton on the outside--top and bottom. I really liked that. I also liked the length: 10 x 3 inches. It was a good length to feel like I was getting good coverage without all the bulk. Speaking of bulk, these are VERY Trim, yet still absorbent.
- I love that they are made out of organic cotton. Very soft, very comfortable. You don't even notice you have one on.
- While trim, they are very absorbent. With my lighter days, I could wear one all day.
- They wash well! I'm not very good at remembering/taking the time to rinse, but these have hardly any stains in spite of my laziness.

I have been thinking about starting to use mama cloth whenever AF comes back. (currently 35 weeks pregnant and will nurse) Its great to know that there are more affordable options out there!
I actually just started using Mama Cloth. It was because it seemed like the logical next step after cloth diapering my daughter.
So much better for our bodies, and the environment!

I love Thanks mama! Just made a big order, trying wool now! :)
I LOVE using Mama cloth. It's changed my life since I got such horrible reactions to disposable pads.
To save money
It's more environmentally-friendly and saves money!

I think my main reason for wanting to switch is the fact I wouldn't be using bleached pads anymore. I know that can't be good for the lady parts! ;)

I have been considering it for awhile (I was using disposable pads along with my Diva Cup) because I don't like creating extra waste every month and because I don't like the idea of the chemicals in the pad so close to my body.
Comfort!!!

I've actually already tried out a few kinds of mama pads. I love using cloth diapers, and cloth pads seems like another very easy step to become more environmentally friendly and economical.
I am going to be making a purchase from Thanks Mama in the next few days!
One reason for me to consider mama cloth is comfort. I really hate the feel of pads. They are so horrible, in my opinion, I'm always so uncomfortable wearing them!

I'm trying to get away from disposables and all the chemicals they expose you to. These look great.
I have very sensitive skin and allergies to a lot of chemicals. I'm slowly transiting to cloth to help keep my skin happy & allergies at bay!
Since I am cloth diapering my little one, it seems that using cloth for myself would be a good idea. I am not very comfortable wearing disposable pads or tampons. Since these are soft and would probably only get softer and more absorbent with every wash I bet they would be so much more comfortable. Thanks for the chance. bekki1820cb at gmail dot com
I've wanted to for a while. Less wasteful. More economic. Healthier for my body.

I would like to try mama cloth as an option for tampons/cups. I don't like traditional pads!

I would use it for the financial savings. ngiraldi at gmail dot com
I know they are better for our health and have read that cycles are less painful and shorter.
I've always wanted to try it, and I love how much better they are for the environment!
I'd love to start using to save money and save the planet!
I just starting using mama cloth. I made the switch for a lot of the same reasons we cloth diaper our baby. Its more eco friendly and economical. Plus, my sensitive skin would get easily irritated in disposables pads but not with cloth.
