Back in January, I was shopping for baby shower gifts for some cousins. I like getting unique items that I know they'll use but that they maybe hadn't thought of themselves. I'm sure you've heard me talk about my milk-saver before...but I love it and wanted to get these for my cousins. But I never had a really good way to store the milk I collected. I would use ice cube trays but if I didn't close the freezer door gingerly it would slosh and spill all over the place. So I did a search and found Fresh Baby trays! After purchasing a couple sets for my cousins, I contacted them to see if I could review their trays for myself! Well, they didn't just send me their trays, they sent me their whole So Easy Baby food kit! This i-Parenting Media Award Winner kit comes with the following:
- Cookbook with over 40 recipes
- Freezer Trays (2 trays, 2 lids, spill-proof, stackable, dishwasher-safe)
- How-to DVD
- Nutrition tips card
Well let's talk about the trays first!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! They fit nicely in my freezer, stack on top of each other and don't leak if they get sloshed around! No more empty trays with milk frozen to the bottom of my freezer drawers! And I love that they each have 12 pre-portioned one ounce serving spots. And just a side note--these trays are great for more than just breast milk and baby food! You can use them to freeze sauces, little popsicles, whatever you can think of! BEST OF ALL, they are BP-A and phthalate-free and made in the USA!
Since Andrew isn't ready for solids, we haven't tried any recipes but they look SO easy!! When Collin was born, I thought about making my own baby food but never took the time to find recipes. Well, now I have a cookbook right at my finger tips! It has more than that though! It is filled with tips for which foods to give baby when, how to prepare them, the best ways to cook them, nutrition info. It's all the info you need in one place! The How-to DVD was super nice to have too!! I found out I don't know as much about nutrition as I thought I did! But that's ok, because after watching their video, now I do!!
The Nutrition Tips card is pretty nice and convenient to have too! It has a chart called "First Foods by Age" and spells out what grains, veggies, fruits, meats & proteins, and dairy the baby can have according to age! It also has a what-to-do-when-your-baby-is-choking list too!
The So Easy baby food kit ROCKS! For $37.95, it would make an AWESOME baby shower present (or gift for yourself!). And if you find that right now, you only need the trays, they are only $13.95 (and that's for both of them!!). Be sure and check out the other neat products that Fresh Baby makes as well!! And now, one lucky reader gets to win their own Fresh Baby So Easy baby food kit!

I love that the trays are stackable and look like they'd save a lot of space. I'm planning on making my own baby food, so this would be great to have! I also love that it's BPA- and phthalate-free.

I actually bought this kit with my first baby, so I know I love it! I would plan to give it to a friend who is expecting a baby if I won. I love the stackable trays, the lids to keep the food/milk more fresh and un-freezer burned, and the cookbook with amazing recipes! I still have the nutrition tips card on my fridge as well. :)
I want this so bad! I made all of my daughter's baby food and used ice cube trays covered with plastic wrap. This looks way easier!
So awesome! With my 2 year old I wanted to make my own food but I never got around to looking up recipes like you said. This time with my 12 week old I plan on making her food for sure. I love the idea of the trays...and that they have lids!! LOVE that is comes with a recipe book too!
This interest me because I plan on making my own baby food. My sister made her own and it worked great for her so I figured I would give it a try too!

I've always wanted to try making my own baby food. I think this kit would be helpful in that venture!
